I ❤ Penang: Penang Half Day Trip

In the 1st weekend of February

I had a half day trip with my dear

and his KL friends

in PENANG~!

Ahahahaha...

Although I'm a 100% Penangite

but I'm not really familiar 100% with this lovely island...

So... time to walk around

and get to know more deeply about Penang island

First, of course we have to eat breakfast (or brunch)

before we move our footstep...

We ate at New World Park

Just the dishes were quite a lot la... =.=''

Over dao......

5 people ah... And I think I missed out other food~

Tom Yam Noodle

This was definitely different that what we eat normally...

As it was the dry tom yam noodle...

I sure usually we eat Tom Yam soup maggi or Fried Tom Yam maggi...

Hahahaha...

After we finished our foods

We start to think where should we go...

Actually our KL friends have a Penang map

If you look at the map,

there are few places are recommended...

So let's start our trip~! ^^

Thai Buddhist Temple

1st destination, 

Thai Buddhist Temple near Pulau Tikus...

Haha... This foreigner uncle so professional...

Can't remember how long I never visit here since......

I was a kid?! LOL

Sawadeeka~~~~

Very the hot ah....... 

After half and hour...

We decided to walk to another temple

But before that, let's have some chill out...

Have a tasty coconut ice cream in the hot day!

Yum...

Nice... But what a small portion... RM1.50

The coconut ice cream was nice to eat~!

Too bad la small scoop only...

And I don't have the chance to eat in Thailand T^T

Hope next time will grab the chance

To enjoy the real coconut ice cream in there!

Burmese Buddhist Temple...

And it was just opposite of that Thai Buddhist Temple~

Hahahaha...

Easier right? Just walked few steps to reach there...

And not forget Forn Cornwallis~

FORT CORNWALLIS

Seriously, it's really such a decade I never visit Fort Cornwallis

( Who will come here walk walk while it's really nothing to see

Except few canons... =.='' )

Well, as it's one of the Penang tourist places

Surely we bring KL friends there...

Hahahaha...

Most important is~

NOTHING TO SEE AH...

Just walk around under the sun

Take picture with those canons...

RM2 for the ticket and just treat it donate to Penang lo... ^^

If you have the chance to visit there,

don't forget to drop by the food stall just infront Fort Cornwallis

Inside there got a stall

Selling famous Mee Sotong~!!!

And coconut milk shake 

( But KL friend said that milk shake boss kinda rude~! )

So we ordered Mee Sotong Rebus and Fried Mee Sotong only...

Really tasty and not very expensive...

Hot day should eat Cendol~! Yeah... 

What's next? 

Of course we should have some ice in the hot sunny day~

So we enjoyed the famous Penang Road Cendol...

And it was crazily full of people...

No matter what races, all came to queue up and stand beside the stall

Just to eat the Cendol...

After finished, we head to another destination...

Kek Lok Si Temple~

Penang has lot of famous tourist destinations

are temples... Hahahaha

This is our culture part...

Nice decoration and peaceful place

Attract a lot of Asian tourists...

Must visit Kek Lok Si on the night time

Especially during CNY!

The light deco is really nice...

Too bad I don't have time to go on night~

But still can see the colorful nice deco in day time...

Finally, we ended our trip by ate the Air Itam Laksa

Very famous oh...

But I don't eat Laksa...

Hahahaha...

Some say nice but portion abit small

Some say just normal only...

No matter how, I won't touch it~

Penang famous food... Laksa

It's just our activities on Saturday

Why we only spent half day for the trip in Penang?

Because we have to rush to Kedah at night

We will have another half day trip in Thailand~!

Happy Valentine's Day 2012~!

❤ HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to MY DEAR and myself  ❤

Although I didn't celebrate the Valentine's Day today

I just finished my job on 8PM

Then straight go back home...

I was alone today

But I know someone is missing me...

Same as I'm missing him...

Our distance is far

But our HEART ❤ is always stick together...

I received my presents and flowers last week

We don't have any special celebration~

But I feel satisfied because we spent some time

to be together ^^

2012新年吃喝玩乐: MaaRoy Thai Seafood Restaurant with Groupon

Time really flies~!!!!!

And now Chinese New Year already passed... T^T

I sure very miss it~!!!

Although 2012 CNY was not very interesting for me...

Because I have to work on the 3rd day!

And yet I don't have much time to plan any activities

or even participate in some events... 

Too bad...

But as usual,

Although I don't have time...

The "eat" must continue~ LOL

On the last day before CNY end,

DEAR and me decided to have dinner at MAAROY~ ^^

Actually this plan was delayed very long time ago...

Everything started on Nov when he bought the voucher on Groupon...

The plan delayed due to we can't fix a time

that we both are free... =.=''

So we fixed the time on the last day of CNY

which was replacement of Public Holiday...

Hahahaha...

And I must say that the voucher is very worth of $$ value~!!!

This is the first time I have a meal using Groupon...

Just look at the menu below...

Only paid RM34.00 instead of RM71.60 for 5 courses...

I recommended Dear to get it because Maaroy's food was really nice...

Let's see what we had that day...

Iced Lemon Tea (RM3.50 ala carte)

Highly recommended drink~!!! ^^

Thick lemon fragrance and red tea...

Nice to drink~

Tom Yam Seafood Soup (RM13 ala carte)

One of my favorite Tom Yam here...

Nice sour and spicy (quite spicy for me) soup with seafood

Fish meat, squids and prawns~

Of course included tomatoes and mushrooms...

Keep sweating while eating... Too hot~!!!

Thai-style Kangkung (RM8 ala carte)

Oh this is one of the non-spicy food here...

It's taste like Kangkung fried with salted fish larrrr... 

Hahahaha...

Delicious too...

Pandan Chicken (RM10 ala carte)

One of the signature Thai food...

"Must eat" dishes in Thai restaurant~

But the chicken meat was quite small compare to other restaurants...

The chicken is nice especially it served hot~! ^^

A lil crunchy outside and juicy texture inside was make me drooling... 

Hahahaha... 

Each person can get 2 pieces... ^^

Thai-style Otak-otak (RM20 ala carte)

Out of my expected when I opened the foil...

Because it totally didn't look like Otak-otak

As what we normally eat...

( I don't really have it in Thailand yet... )

But I tried in other Thai food restaurant

Otak-otak was full of the creamy coconut cream~

Or the Otak-otak was cooked like a jelly-like curry thingy...

Hahahaha... 

So when I opened and saw egg inside with seafood,

I was wonder is this Otak-otak?!

But can't deny that this is simply delicious than other Otak-otak...

You can found prawn, squid and fish meat inside there...

Not so spicy as it served with homemade sauce... ^^

Last but not least...

Both of us already feel very the full...

After 4 courses with a plate of white rice~

( I seriously think the portion can be eaten by 3 person~! )

Don't forget we still have dessert...

Ahhhhhhhhh.... =.=''

Although I am very very very full...

I still wanna filled my stomach with the Thai dessert...

Just because it was yummy~~~~~ ^^

And also because I like those dessert with "santan" (Coconut cream) larrr...

Hahahaha... 

Tab Tim Krob is just a simply dessert here compare to other restaurant

But yet I still like it...

Even Dear also gave a good comment on this~!

Finally we ended our dinner with full of satisfaction... 

During the dinner we saw other people also came in the restaurant

with some paper...

I bet they also bought the voucher same like us~

See... it's worth~!

Next time must put your eyes on Groupon more often
